EMAS og akkreditering
Norsk akkreditering har ansvaret for å akkreditere og følge opp EMAS-verifikatorer i Norge iht krav i (EC) No 1221/2009 EMAS.
Akkrediteringskrav relatert til EMAS
- NS/EN ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, Conformity assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems - Part 1: Requirements’
- NS-EN ISO/IEC 17021-2:2018, Conformity assessment - requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems - Part 2: competence requirements for audit and certification of environmental management systems (ISO/IEC 17021-2:2016)
- Regulation (EC) No 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the voluntary participation by organisations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS), repealing Regulation (EC) No 761/2001 and Commission Decisions 2001/681/EC and 2006/193/EC with related regulations from the Commission and guidance documents.

EMAS-verifikatorer akkreditert i andre medlemsland enn Norge skal varsle NA på e-post post@akkreditert.no minst 4 uker før gjennomføring av hver verifiserings- eller valideringsaktivitet i Norge.

EMAS and accreditation
Norwegian Accreditation is responsible for accrediting and supervision of environmental verifier in according to the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1221/2009 EMAS.

EMAS verifiers accredited in Member States other than Norway shall notify NA by email post@akkreditert.no at least 4 weeks before performing each verification or validation activity in Norway.
