ELECTRONIC CASE HANDLING SYSTEM

Norwegian Accreditation recommends a solid case handling and control system in connection with accreditation tasks. We have an electronic case handling system which includes the following key functions:

•         Overview of accredited bodies, accreditation scope

•         Overview of technical assessors and their competence

•         Overview of costs and resources

•         Planning of assessments and courses

•         Communication with customers and assessors

•         Generate reports and accreditation documents

The system is called EDNA (electronic data base for Norwegian Accreditation) and is fully available in English. EDNA is integrated with an SQL-data base.

We can provide EDNA to other accreditation bodies that requires software for instance in connection with overview of accreditation scope. We can also provide fully support and installation if needed.

The Southern African Development Community Accreditation Service (SADCAS), with head office in Botswana, has recently adapted this system and started the implementation process. Read more about the Technology Transfer Agreement here

Accreditation marks with "qual" and "ems" dissapears during the fall og 2008 from the norwegian accreditation system. This is due to the implementation of ISO 17021 which replaced ISO/IEC Guides 61 and 66.
